9:30am - 9:30pm

Closing days

• Last day of every month. (or the previous day if the last day is Saturday or Sunday.)
• Annual inventory term.
• New year’s holidays. (Dec.31 to Jan3)

Registration

You need a library card to check out materials. Those people who live, work or study in Hida city are eligible to receive a card. You need to bring an identification (driver’s license, residence card, student ID card) which includes your name and place of residence to the registration desk.

Checking out Materials

Please bring materials with your library card to the reception desk.

To return books

Your library card is not necessary. Please bring materials to the reception desk by the return due date. When the library is closed, please put them in the book-post at the entrance of the library. (Please do not return fragile materials such as CDs using the book-post)

Searching for material

When you cannot find the material you are looking for or when you do not know how to search, please feel free to ask our staff.

Requests

If we do not have the material you are looking for, we will consider making a purchase. Also, it may be possible to borrow from libraries outside of Takayama City.

Photocopying Services

Copy service is limited by the copyright law. After filling in an application form, please come to the reception desk. Black & White 10 yen per sheet. Color 100 yen per sheet.

Parking

Free Parking for 2 hours at Soramachi Car parking for users of the library. Please show your parking ticket to the reception desk.
